Justin Knoepfel is a writer, director, producer based in New York with a passion for engaging, unique storytelling and genre films. He seeks to examine the dark corners of human nature, highlighting stories of the taboo and the often underrepresented emotional challenges faced in daily life

His work has been screened at various festivals, with screenings at

Rhode Island International Film Festival, Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, FilmQuest, and has been featured by both Crypt TV and Gunpowder & Sky's ALTER.

 

In 2025 he was a selected fellow of the prestigious Film at Lincoln Center and New York Film Festival Artist Academy program. ​

His latest project "The Man & The Scarecrow" -- a psychological horror-drama, is in festival submissions and was produced through a successful Seed & Spark crowdfunding campaign along with the  support of the 2024 Fresh Perspectives Grant from ARRI and The American Society of Cinematographers.
